A Conference Titled “Hidden Risks in Cosmetic and Herbal Products” Held at Our University
A conference titled “Hidden Risks in Cosmetic and Herbal Products” was organized within the scope of our University’s Vocational School of Health Services. The program, held in cooperation with the Healthy Living Community and KADAMER, featured Lecturer Pharmacist A. Furkan Gülocak as the keynote speaker.
During the conference, the contents of commonly used cosmetic and herbal products in daily life were examined, with a particular focus on potentially harmful substances and the health risks arising from unconscious use.
Within the scope of the program, participants were provided with essential information on how to correctly read product labels, select reliable products, and develop conscious consumption habits. It was also emphasized that products marketed as “natural” or “herbal” may not always be safe, and the importance of evaluating such products based on scientific evidence was underlined.
The program concluded following a question-and-answer session.
