New EU Project Success for Our University: SOILAB Project Awarded Funding
Our University, which has recently distinguished itself through successful projects under European Union and international grant programmes, has added another achievement to its growing portfolio of EU-funded initiatives.
The SOILAB Project, developed under the leadership of the Kilis Chamber of Agriculture, in partnership with the Kilis Special Provincial Administration and with the academic contribution of our University, has been awarded funding under the PACE Grant Programme, co-financed by the European Union and implemented by GIZ.
Designed with the goal of promoting scientific and sustainable agriculture, the project will establish a soil analysis laboratory within our University and develop a digital decision-support system.
Within the scope of the project, training programmes will be provided for farmers and agricultural enterprises in Kilis, along with data-driven agricultural advisory services. In this way, climate-friendly and sustainable agricultural practices will be promoted across the region.
The project aims to enhance the competitiveness of agriculture in Kilis, strengthen public agricultural services, and make a significant contribution to regional development and the green transition.
