Rector’s Office Entrusted to Students on April 23

As part of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day celebrations, a symbolic handover ceremony was held to mark the anniversary of the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, during which the office of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Akman, was entrusted to students.

Students Mennan Miraç Özkan and Ahsen Defne Bozkaya from Emine Mahmut Kudeyt Primary School visited the Rector’s Office accompanied by their teachers and school administrators, taking part in a meaningful gathering befitting the spirit of April 23. During the visit, the students assumed the Rector’s seat, where they expressed their thoughts and feelings, and shared their dreams, aspirations, and hopes for the future.

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Akman, emphasized that such meaningful occasions represent one of the finest reflections of carrying the national will into the future, stating: “The hope and excitement in our children’s eyes demonstrate how firmly our future is being built. Their proper education and development remain our greatest assurance for the future of our country.” Throughout the visit, our Rector showed close attention to the students, answered their questions, and offered valuable advice.

In addition, as part of the April 23 events, students Veysel Yiğit Köksal and Umay Kılıç from Takımyıldızı Kindergarten also visited our Rector, Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Akman. Sharing in the joy of the occasion, our Rector presented gifts to the children.
