Participants of the “No More Walls, Europe Calls” Project Visit Rector Akman

The project team visiting Kilis as part of the Erasmus+ project titled “No More Walls, Europe Calls” paid a visit to Rector Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Akman.

Bringing together a total of 24 young participants, with six participants each from Georgia, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye, the project aims to strengthen international youth cooperation. During the visit, Mevlüde Özkaraca, President of KOZ-DER, the project partner in Türkiye, and Valdislav Petrov and Emily Georgia, representatives of the Children with Special Needs Association, the project partner in Bulgaria, met with Rector Akman.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on the objectives of the project, youth work, inclusion, equality, solidarity, and active citizenship. The importance of bringing together young people from different countries in Kilis in terms of intercultural interaction and international youth work was also discussed.

Rector Akman stated that Erasmus+ projects bringing together young people from different countries around shared values make important contributions to intercultural understanding and provide young people with valuable international experience. He also emphasized that the University will continue to support international cooperation and youth-oriented initiatives.
