Education Cooperation Protocol Signed Between Our University and KİTSO

A “Vocational Schools Education Cooperation Protocol” was signed between our University and the Kilis Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KİTSO) with the aim of enhancing the quality of education at vocational schools, strengthening students’ connections with industry, and contributing to the development of a qualified workforce.

Under the protocol signed by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Akman, and KİTSO President H. Mustafa Celkanlı, efforts will be undertaken to strengthen university-industry collaboration, expand internship and employment opportunities for students, support practice-oriented education processes, and enhance the capacity of vocational schools to better respond to sectoral needs.

Within the scope of the protocol, various initiatives are planned to support the professional development of students enrolled in the programs offered by the Vocational School of Tourism and Hotel Management, the Vocational School of Social Sciences, and the Vocational School of Technical Sciences. These initiatives include providing scholarships for high-achieving students, strengthening laboratory and workshop infrastructures, and organizing career events and technical field visits.

Commenting on the cooperation, Rector Akman emphasized that collaboration between universities and the business community plays a vital role in enhancing students’ professional competencies. He stated that the protocol is expected to make significant contributions not only to students’ career development but also to the economic and social development of Kilis.

KİTSO President H. Mustafa Celkanlı noted that they attach great importance to strengthening university-industry cooperation and expressed his belief that the activities to be carried out under the protocol will contribute to the development of a highly qualified workforce.

The signing ceremony concluded with mutual expressions of goodwill and best wishes for the success of the cooperation.
