Technology Transfer Processes from Research to Commercialisation Discussed at Our University
Within the scope of the cooperation between METU TECHNOPOLIS and our University, a seminar titled “From Research to Market: METU TTO Experience in Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights, Contracts and Commercialisation Processes” was organised for academics and postgraduate students.
Held at the METU TECHNOPOLIS Kilis Entrepreneurship Office, the programme featured presentations by Aytülü Sert and Yusuf Dudu, unit managers at the METU Technology Transfer Office, who shared their knowledge and experience on intellectual and industrial property rights, contractual processes, and the commercialisation of research outputs.
The seminar addressed the protection of outputs generated through academic studies within the framework of intellectual and industrial property rights, key considerations in contractual processes, and possible pathways for the commercialisation of scientific research. Drawing on examples from METU TTO practices, the process of transforming research results into economic and social value was also discussed.
The programme concluded with a question-and-answer session and mutual evaluations.
