Our University Ranked First in Türkiye at ÜNİFEST

Our University achieved a significant success at ÜNİFEST – University Student Communities Social Contribution Project Festival, organized in cooperation with the General Directorate of Youth Services and Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University.

As part of the Inter-University Project Competition hosted by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, our University was awarded first place in Türkiye in the category of Climate Change, Environmental Sustainability, and Green Energy.

The project titled “Drought-Resilient Agricultural Practices: Mulching and Water Harvesting Training and Implementation Project”, supervised by Prof. Dr. Meryem Kuzucu, coordinated by our Faculty of Agriculture student İbrahim Halil Can, and developed by the Student Community for Climate Change and Drought Mitigation, was awarded first prize following the jury’s evaluation.

Focusing on combating drought, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and raising environmental awareness, the project attracted attention through its integrated approach combining both educational and practical implementation components.

With this achievement, our University once again demonstrated at the national level the strength of its student communities’ socially responsible initiatives and its commitment to projects promoting environmental sustainability.
