“Kilis Workshop” Held at Our University"
The “Kilis Workshop,” which comprehensively addressed the historical heritage, social structure, economic potential, and future development vision of Kilis, was held under the auspices of our University. Organized in cooperation with the Governorship of Kilis, our University, and the İpekyolu Development Agency, the workshop brought together representatives of public institutions, local governments, academia, industry, non-governmental organizations, and the business community on a common platform.
As part of the program held at the Abdullah Enveri Library and Congress Center, thematic working sessions were conducted on a range of topics, including the historical development of Kilis, social structure, migration and cultural interaction, trade and investment environment, tourism and services, agriculture, environment, and sustainability. During the sessions, which featured distinguished academics and sector representatives, the current situation of the city was evaluated comprehensively, while participants exchanged views on solution proposals and future-oriented development strategies.
The discussions held throughout the workshop emphasized the effective utilization of Kilis’s existing potential, the strengthening of the local economy, the preservation of cultural heritage, and the enhancement of inter-institutional cooperation in line with sustainable development objectives.
At the conclusion of the program, the opinions and recommendations generated during the workshop were reviewed in a general evaluation session. It was noted that the outcomes of the workshop would contribute to the development of a strategic roadmap aimed at guiding the future development of Kilis.
