Hıdırellez Celebrations Held at Our University
The Vocational School of Health Services hosted the Hıdırellez Celebrations organized by the Center for Middle Eastern Studies Application and Research (KODAM), the Language and Literature Community, and the History Community of our University. The program was carried out in cooperation with the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism of the Governorship of Kilis and our University, and was attended by Hüseyin Erkmen, Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism.
The opening speeches were delivered by Dr. Zeliha Açar, Director of KODAM, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Akın Kazancıoğlu, Director of the Vocational School of Health Services. In their remarks, they emphasized the importance of unity, solidarity, cooperation, and activities that support the social development of students.
As part of the celebrations, awards were presented to students who achieved success in the volleyball and football tournaments held previously. Medals and trophies were awarded to the teams that finished in first and second place, while certificates of appreciation were presented to the referees and coordinators who contributed to the organization of the events.
At the conclusion of the program, students, academic staff, and administrative personnel came together to share and experience the spirit of solidarity and togetherness that characterizes the Hıdırellez tradition.
