2025–2026 Academic Year General Graduation Ceremony Held at Our University
The 2025–2026 Academic Year General Graduation Ceremony of our University was held at the Abdullah Enveri Library and Congress Center. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor of Kilis Okan Dağlı, Mayor of Kilis Attorney Hakan Bilecen, President of the Justice Commission Ferhat Korkmaz, our Rector Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Akman, members of the provincial protocol, academic and administrative staff of our University, as well as graduating students and their families.
Following a musical performance, the program began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem. The ceremony continued with a speech delivered on behalf of the graduating students by Ayşegül Sever, the valedictorian of the University and a student in the Special Education Teaching Program at the Kilisli Muallim Rıfat Faculty of Education.
In his address, Rector Akman stated that the graduating students had completed a long and demanding educational journey and were now taking an important step into a new chapter of their lives. Emphasizing that graduation represents not only the completion of an educational process but also the beginning of a journey of responsibility, productivity, and contribution to society, Rector Akman noted that the knowledge, experience, and skills gained during university years would serve as valuable guidance throughout their future lives.
Rector Akman also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the families whose dedication, sacrifices, and support played a significant role in the students’ achievements. He further thanked the academic and administrative staff, emphasizing that everyone who contributed to the education and development of the students had also contributed to the future of both the students and the University.
Following the presentation of certificates of achievement to students who ranked among the top graduates of their faculties and schools, gifts were presented to the students who achieved first place in the fields of Natural Sciences, Health Sciences, and Social Sciences.
The ceremony concluded with the University valedictorian placing their name plaque on the graduation registry, followed by the traditional cap-tossing ceremony and a group photograph.
