2025–2026 Academic Robe Ceremony Held at Our University

The 2025–2026 Academic Robe Ceremony of our University was held at the Rectorate Conference Hall with the participation of academic staff and invited guests.

Following a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Akman, delivered the opening address. In his speech, Rector Akman stated that the academic robe symbolizes scientific responsibility, dedication, academic achievement, and the culture of the university. He also emphasized the vital role undertaken by academics in the development and advancement of universities.

Rector Akman noted that universities are institutions that generate knowledge, conduct research, provide guidance to society, and help shape the future in an ever-changing world. Emphasizing that the quality of academic work is one of the fundamental factors in the development of higher education institutions, he stated that our University continues its efforts to enhance its scientific productivity, strengthen international collaborations, and provide students with broader academic opportunities. He also highlighted the importance of fostering a strong culture of academic solidarity and cooperation.

As part of the ceremony, certificates of appointment were presented to research assistants and lecturers who joined our University during the 2025–2026 Academic Year. Subsequently, academics appointed to the position of Assistant Professor received their appointment certificates.

The ceremony concluded with the academic robing of faculty members who had been promoted to the ranks of Associate Professor and Professor at our University.
