Our University Reaches the Final at UNIFEST

As a result of the evaluations carried out within the scope of UNIFEST – University Student Communities Social Contribution Project Festival and Competition, organized in cooperation with the Youth Services General Directorate and Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, our University has achieved a significant success by qualifying for the finals with two projects.

In the category of Climate Change, Environmental Sustainability and Green Energy, the project titled “Drought-Resilient Agricultural Practices: Mulching and Water Harvesting Training and Implementation Project”, developed by the Climate Change and Drought Mitigation Student Community under the coordination of İbrahim Halil Can, has been selected as a finalist. The project is conducted under the academic supervision of Prof. Dr. Meryem Kuzucu.

In the category of Disaster Management and Social Resilience, the project titled “Nurses Prepared for Disasters”, developed by the Health Community under the coordination of Melike Arslan, has also advanced to the finals under the academic guidance of Assist. Prof. Dr. Nuriye Nesrin İpekçi.

The finalist projects will be exhibited during the festival program to be held on May 6–7, 2026, and the award ceremony will take place on May 7, 2026.
