Our Men’s Hockey Team, Ranked Third in Türkiye, Paid a Visit to Our Rector
Our University Men’s Hockey Team, which achieved significant success by ranking third at the Interuniversity Turkish Hockey Championship, visited our Rector, Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Akman, in his office. Vice Deans of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Mayda and Asst. Prof. Dr. Özgür Aktaş, also attended the visit.
During the meeting, the championship process, the team’s performance, and the new goals set following this achievement were discussed.
Congratulating the team for winning the bronze medal by finishing third in the championship, our Rector Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Akman emphasized the importance of sports in students’ personal development and stated that such achievements are a reflection of disciplined work and strong team spirit.
Noting that our University’s success in sports continues to grow steadily, Rector Akman highlighted that every achievement accomplished by our students contributes not only to the reputation of our University but also to the recognition of our city.
